MindBridge Ai launches HERoes program with University of Ottawa’s Professional Development Institute to drive more equal participation of womxn in AI

OTTAWA, November 29, 2019 – MindBridge Analytics Inc., a global provider of artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that applies risk-based approaches to help organizations extract insights from data, announced at the 2019 IMPACT AI Conference the ‘HERoes’ initiative as a platform to provide exciting programs to support the advancement of womxn and youth leaders in STEM. HERoes is officially launched today at the University of Ottawa with a first cohort of 35 incredible young womxn that are currently enrolled in various programs with four participating education institutions.

“With the influence and impacts that AI has on society, it’s critical for industry to find ways to include womxn at all levels of the business,” said Eli Fathi, CEO of MindBridge. “Diverse workforces and leadership teams have proven to positively affect team culture, product quality, and the bottom line. Working with Sophia Leong, Executive with the University of Ottawa Professional Development Institute, we’ll continue to design an innovative curriculum to achieve two key elements – women leadership and technology literacy – to increase womxn participation. She has led the University of Ottawa Executive MBA program to #1 Global Executive MBA, two years in a row, as ranked by CEO Magazine after her leadership roles in the tech sector. So, the HERoes program is in good hands.”

“Womxn make up less than 20 percent of the AI workforce and the future of work demands a technology-literate and fully inclusive workforce to drive economic growth. It is critical that we move beyond chatter and lay down actionable plans to empower more womxn to participate more equally in this transformative platform,” said Sophia Leong. “The 18-month HERoes program is an application-centric and practical learning environment that is being fueled by womxn executives and industry experts. This program also serves as an active learning collaboration with Carleton University, Algonquin College, and Willis College to directly benefit our students. We are pleased to be leading this with MindBridge Ai.”
